Description

Dean Rusk and William Bundy interviewed by Richard Rusk and Thomas Schoenbaum. Rusk and Bundy describe U.S. involvement in Vietnam during the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations, in particular aerial operations and the Tet Offensive (1968). They discuss Johnson's bombing targeting policy and its effect as an incentive for North Vietnam to negotiate. They contrast the Johnson and Nixon adminstrations. They also discuss the trial of General William Westmoreland and CBS.
